Spindle Repair – PFG Vtech

A customer suffered a collision on their purpose built large VMC which had resulted in damaging the spindle. The spindle was removed by our Engineer’s & inspected at our facility. We identified that the bearings required replacement, the rear bearing housing had collapsed & needed to be re-manufactured, drawbar belleville washers & pull stud gripper replaced as well as the the spindle taper being re-ground. After the spindle had had this quite extensive work completed, the machine was then re-assembled at the customers site & the M19 orientation position reset.
